Direct to the Patient
When an alarm is raised, the nearest and appropriate care-giver is notified of the event through a personal wearable device or via SMS and an optional TV alarm display. The care-giver goes directly to the patient to acknowledge the alarm. The care-givers are left to interact directly with patients and do not need to sit in front of a computer to recognize or to resolve events. The alarms are prioritized, so nurses address high priority events and auxiliary technicians can address more common call button presses.
